RE: What did I learn in my first couple of days?
@quentinsf
Many thanks for that. Well produced video and just the sort of thing I need to see as I'm currently awaiting delivery of my kit.

Thanks for sharing that Quentin. Good job on the video. You clearly put thought into production and continuity etc. And well done going straight into producing a useful model of your own. I find the part design process the most satisfying part of the 3D printing process. The decision on whether to create a solution from wood/metal etc. in the workshop is a legitimate one, but the quality plastic finish of a model that can be infinitely reproduced means 3d printing is often the way to go.
Incase it's of any interest my opinion is that washing the pei print sheet with Fairy (Dawn in the states etc.) and then drying it thoroughly is the best method of 'deep' cleaning the bed. I do this periodically. I also keep a bottle of 99.9% iso alcohol and disposable kitchen towel next to the printer to wipe the print sheet clean when necessary after a print (followed by heating the bed to evaporate any liquid left over), and I have enjoyed many years success with that method and no damage to the print surface.
Anyway, great going and enjoy your new toy!
