What causes this screeching noise?

My printer prints perfectly and has done so for years. But it's loud (and always has been) when doing certain movements across the print bed and I was wondering if any of you could point me in a direction on how to solve this.

Check this video

As you can hear it makes these horrendous screeching noises every now and again, always when moving diagonally at a certain speed across the print bed. I've tried the following with no success:

- Tightening the fans, made no difference
- Lubricated the print bed ball bearings, makes zero difference
- Put my hand around different parts on the printer to see if I could find a resonance, no success

I cannot reproduce the sound when moving the print bed or extruder manually through the menus. So it only happens at these specific speeds when it moves diagonally while printing.

Sounds like a very specific resonance happening at certain combined speeds of bed and X carriage. On what kind of bench and floor sits the printer ?. Have you tried to move it to a different location and see if it makes any difference on the noise ?.

Thank you for your answer. I have it on a stone slab that sits on top of a couple of flat lawn chair pillows and I even have industrial springs underneath the printer feet. It's very well isolated from the ground. I've had it on a table previously, but there the noise was even worse (which makes sense of course). The noise is what made me go ahead and add all of the noise dampeners which works wonders. But "out into the room" it's still quite noisy during these movements, as heard in the video.

I tried lubricating the extruder ball bearings yesterday and it also made zero difference. I agree that it's a resonance due to the specific diagonal speed when the print head is moving across the print bed. Luckily it doesn't affect print quality as it prints absolutely perfectly.
