RE: Weird x/y axis shift

Hello
I have a mk3s mmu2s printed upgraded from a mk3. The printed has been working perfect as a mk3s and finally working as a mmu2.  Lately all of a sudden it has has a x/y axis shift on the prints at z63. I have taken the build plate carriage apart and rebuilt it with the new y rod holders/ replaced the x rod upper holders/checked all cables for interference/checked belts/ recalibrated xyz/  tried bed level correction/ checked all the extruder screws/ all new bearings during the mk3s upgrade/ wiped prusa pe and reloaded it/ factory reset and re flashed latest firmware.  This was happening even before the new firmware.  I have a friend who is experienced in 3d printing who actually built his own prusa with a 32 bit board.  He is confused how the shift happens at the exact same place. At the level of the shift i dont feel and grabbing by the nozzle or any other binding. When prints are finished the are the height they are supposed to be checked with calipers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  1. have you tried disconnecting the MMU2s and printing while feeding direct?   Perhaps the PTFE tube is interfering once the z reaches a certain height?
  2. you may have done this but: clean and lube the linear bearings, snug the z and y axis belts, check that there's no wiggle in the z- right and left brackets.

Christopher...i usually keep the mmu off for general printing. I had tightened all bolts/screws and always keep bearings and rods lubed.  I did belt test and the numbers were at the lower end of the scale... after reading numerous post i decided to crank the belt tight....like Van Halen tight.  That stopped the shift. Why shifting in the same spot and a gradual shift...perhaps belts heating up and stretching? They are new gates belts...but thanks for input it all helps.
