Warranty question

Quick question--will my warranty be void if I try out the Zaribo x-ends?

Specifically these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2846079

why? This design brought back the x-rod adjustment screws, has the trusty pre-prusa tensioner, and has more robust z-screw nut mounts (more robust than original zaribo).

Re: Warranty question

Hi Michael,

I suspect thee would be no issue with a warantee claim for say PSU or Einsey issues, but X axis related issues may be difficult to progress... because Prusa have no control of your changes and any impact they may have on the design!

Thank you, Joan :]

I printed the Zaribos last night but didn't like the physical integrity of one of the parts. I'm going with the updated Prusa x-ends after all.

By the way, do you work for Prusa? I see you contribute a lot but you don't have a little official tag on your profile.

Re: Warranty question

Hi Michael,

No, I don't work for Prusa

used to work in the telecomms industry, retired early at age 60, in 2015...

I bought my first original Prusa i3 when there were no mark numbers...

the first Original prusa was a 3mm filament printer with a geared extruder. now called the Mk0
This was before my time.

I got the version with direct drive Red PCB heating element for the bed and glass plate build plate which is now called the Mk1

pre ordered the upgrade to Mk2, shortish wait...

bought a second Mk2 no wait

missed out the Mk2S upgrade because I was not having issues with the bearings...

pre ordered for the MMU (now called the MMU version1) long wait...

pre ordered Mk3 very long wait

pre ordered MMU upgrade, long wait, now advised it will be MMU version2 still waiting since October 2017

pre ordered Mk2.5 upgrade, in October 2017 --- still waiting...

almost feels like I should have shares in 'Prusa'

there is a possibility I will become a moderator soon, to help sort the spam we have been getting...

that's pretty much, is Me...

I'll be good.

Hi, I'm Sean. I used to work on CNC machines.
I try to not make mistakes, but the decision is YOURS.
Please feel free to donate to my filament/maintance fund.
