How did you order it if you don't mind me asking? Was this a reviewer sample for you?

He hit the lottery and Prusa sent it to him with no intervention needed by himself. He ordered the printer in January and elected the printer to be held until the powder coated sheet was available. After the next communicated delay he told them to ship it with the smooth sheet. Since he elected to wait he got sent a sheet.

Meanwhile, early adopters (myself included from October) are still waiting.

Re: VIDEO - Woot! I FINALLY got my PEI Replacement Sheet!

I'm waiting for vouchers and the "opportunity" to purchase two of these. One for a Mk3 order in September and another for a Mk2.5 upgrade kit in October.

Seeing these being given away to users who ordered months after me is starting to make me exceedingly grumpy, and to actively consider never pre-ordering from Prusa again.

Perhaps Prusa have so many orders and so many customers now they can afford to alienate the early adopters who got their new product orders off the ground. I wonder how many will rush to pre-order and pay in advance for the next Prusa product release...

I'm in the same camp as you. When orders started to ship they communicated that the sheets will be delayed until the end of January. I popped a chat with support and they told me not to worry because my order would ship at the end of January. Got my printer, opened the package, and was bummed that I got the stickered sheet. Shortly after that Prusa communicated the next delay.

I've been seeing a ton of posts on reddit where people from January, February, and March orders are getting there's. It's infuriating to be bumped to the end of the line despite being an early supporter. Early supporters dealt with all of the firmware bugs, R1 parts, unhardened rods, faulty PSU units... etc the list could go on.

I ordered in September and let them know my feeling in email. I really don't see the difference.

I ordered a printer with a powdered coated sheet. It got delayed and Prusa changed my order to a stickered one and delivered the printer ~3 months after my order.

These people ordered printers with powder coated sheets. They got delayed and Prusa changed their orders to stickered ones and delivered their printer ~2 months after their order.

I don't see what difference warrants the newer orders getting sheets for free and before I can buy one. It really sucks.

I don't see what difference warrants the newer orders getting sheets for free and before I can buy one. It really sucks. Is this really true? Are 2018 orders that shipped with PEI sticker sheets being given textured sheets for free? I ordered winter 2017 fully expecting a textured sheet. I had no idea I would not get one until I read it here on the forums and then I checked my order info. The delay was not stated on the actual order page, but stated only after the order was placed. I contacted support and they reassured me I'd get the textured sheet. Ondrej stated "it will ship with the textured powder-coated sheet which is the one originally designed for the MK3". Knowing that orders months after mine are getting textured sheets, and supposedly for free, is a huge punch in the face.

I even had personal contact with the Prusa team at a festival after my printer was delivered. They spoke of poor quality from their supplier on their first delivery, limited in house manufacturing of the sheets, and about a month delay. Fair enough. It's not Prusa's fault the boards are bad, at least they didn't ship out poorly coated boards. I am disappointed in how old (2017) orders are not prioritized over new orders with access to textured sheets.

I got a reply from emailing support [email protected] about this (as webchat told me emails may get escalated up the chain) where I politely but firmly questioned what was going on and expressed my frustration.

They apologised and have sent one out (I got a tracking number today). In my response to that email I thanked them and said that I know other early adopters were in the same boat as me. I would suggest emailing them.

Re: VIDEO - Woot! I FINALLY got my PEI Replacement Sheet!

Good luck to you Stuart and glad you got a resolution, but that annoys me even more. So are Prusa now only going to give free sheets to early adopters who complain loudly enough? That is simply unfair and very poor customer service to those who supported them from the start of the Mk3.

Does anyone from Prusa ever read these forums I wonder.

I am in the same boat. You got lucky getting through. I contacted them many times and they basically said too bad so sad, your going to have to wait till they become available in the E-shop. I was also told numerous times that my printer would ship with the powder coated sheet when I ordered in December and shipped in march. Well it didn't. I also was furious knowing that newer orders are now getting them before us. Just makes me mad. I ordered this printer just for the concept of a textured layer for use in my electronic enclosures. 8-9 months later is a "slap in the face" to hear orders are shipping with this textured sheet.

Ordered mine on the 3rd day MK3 went on sale. Bit unfair IMO. They should be shipping those in the order that they were ordered.
