Upgrading MK3 to MK3S?

I'm not sure if this is exactly the correct place to post this, but hello!

I just adopted a Prusa i3 Mk3 from a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago - he no longer had desire for it, and didn't want it to simply go to waste. I'm new to the 3D printer scene, but I've had a desire for a while, along with friends with their own various models.

So, poking around online, I noticed that a couple of years ago there was an upgrade kit for MK3 to MK3S, though none of the links I've found still lead to the kit itself (I have seen the upgrade kit that leads to the S+, but that's not quite what I'm aiming for). Does anyone know if these are still being sold? Or even as individual pieces to put said kit together - I know that there's an extruder upgrade, but, knowing at least the parts (since I have seen the upgrade instructions around) would be helpful. Thanks in advance to anyone who can direct me!

You can see here, MK3 to MK3S upgrade made changes on extruder (actually whole extruder changed) and as it seems, upgrade kit isn't available anymore. But being quite a big upgrade, I assume it wasn't that cheap.

Because you just got the printer (and it works), I suggest you just use it as it is, and learn about it. And if/when the time comes, you just change complete extruder. At that time you will know what you wish for and how much money you're ready to spend.
If buying right now, you'd need following parts (just an example):
Extruder -Bondtech in this example,
Hotend -original E3D in this example (same as Prusa),
Drive gears -Bondtech dual drive (same as Prusa) or cheaper on aliexpress,
Filament sensor kit -must be kit because you need magnets too.

Btw. at that point it would be very good idea to upgrade to SuperPinda.

Yeah, is quite a money at the end...

Oh yeah, that was precisely my plan, to understand the machine better for myself and give it some proper use before trying an upgrade. More than anything, I just wanted the parts list for that upgrade when I feel the time is right.

This is extremely helpful to that end, so thank you! I'll definitely save these items that way I'll be able to reference back to them. Luckily I was under no illusion that it'd be a solid chunk of change, but it's not an absurd investment considering the relatively low price I paid for the printer itself.
