Arrived today (friday) , open the box , handed the gummy bears out will be assembling Saturday

You are supposed to consume/distribute the gummies according to the assembly guide. The 3D Printing Gods punish such arrogance. Print 3 Benchies and do a full calibration twice as penance!

RE: Unofficial order topic for mk3s

Glad you finally got the order! I can't wait til I get mine and enter the world of 3D printing!

What I really don't understand is how there are so many outliers on that google sheets that was user created. Though unofficial, many of the orders that got skipped over seem to not have any issues as far as extras. I feel like if they had an actual system of first come first served basis, there would be a much more reasonable timetable for when you would be receiving your order.

I'm in no way complaining (I ordered my kit on 5/21 with PEI only, no extras when it had a 3-4 week lead time which was perfect for my timeline) and I get how bad COVID-19 is (I'm from New York, USA). I work in manufacturing and have an understanding of how lead times work. Delays may happen that are beyond our control; I was OK with the possible 5-6 week lead delay as a stretch from the original 3-4 if it was definitive and structured. I'm at the 3-4 week mark now, and it seems like even at the current 6 week lead there's no guarantee that I'll even receive my order at that time, and a good possibility that orders after mine will be shipped before.

I shall sit here impatiently patient like everybody else; whilst ordering excessive amounts of filament and accessories. Cheers everybody, hope everybody stays safe and healthy and that normalcy will soon return.

For all of us new to 3D printing people waiting, how about an unofficial poll on how any spools of filament we have amassed?

I have bought 9 spools of PLA in various colors and 4 spools of ABS. The ABS was purchased late at night, not my best work...

So far I'm at 4 of PETG and 5 of PLA, had to get dark cherry from atomic in both PLA and PETG Pro since they both looked way too nice to pass up.

Ordered mine (MK3s kit) on 03. May with a lead time of 3 weeks. Now it's more then 4 weeks later and nothing happend, still on backorder and the lead time for new orders are up to 5-6 weeks. I hope Prusa won't put these 5-6 weeks on old orders too.

I suspect this new lead-time applies to all  outstanding orders , I thought that change early May seemed optimistic

I tried to get mine in back in Feb before things started shutting down. It was the original 3-4 weeks pre-Covid lead time on ordering day for an assembled version. Took almost 9 to ship, and another 3 for FedEx to handle customs. I don't blame Prusa for FedEx issues with customs, but 8-9 is still more than 3-4 when the order was placed, or the 5-6 when it shipped. At least they are reporting 8 week lead time now which seems accurate. I agree they've been optimistic. I'm not surprised in the face of what could be a once-in-a-century pandemic, but I wish they had been more conservative in their estimates when they updated them the first time around. My advice to anyone waiting: assume your original lead time at time of order isn't going to be accurate. Rely on whatever is latest on the site, instead, and assume it applies to you.

I am wondering if the home time for COVID caused an increase in orders.

Maybe. I know I bumped up my decision to order because I saw the writing on the wall that things were going to get bad and wanted to maybe slip in before it did. Didn't work. Oh well.

It was worth the wait I think.

Woohooo, I got this morning finally the shipping email after now 6 weeks and 3 days. Maybe it helped that I pushed a tiny bit yesterday via live chat. Now hopefully the cheap DPD shipping from Prague to Germany doesn't take too long and will arrive until the weekend.

Finally! my turn came up, and got the shipping confirmation. had ordered 5/4 (though with the time difference, the order didnt register until 5/5)

Onto obsessing when the shipping status changes to "out for delivery" to myself here in nyc

Great!! I got the information that my printer is being packed and will be shipped. I ordered it on 4th May. So it was 6 weeks and 3 days which seems an usual waiting time these days. I hope it doesn't take to long for DHL to transport it to Switzerland.

Got mine today. 2 days shipping with DPD from Prague to south west Germany, not bad. 😊 😊

Also I'm supper happy to see that Prusa is now using original Misumi LMU8 bearings but WARNING, they are not lubricated. The Misumi bearing come with rust protection oil and water based grease in the bearings from production. They need to be cleaned (ultrasound) and relubricated with lithium based grease (according to Misumi guide). Why do I know this? Because I just cleaned and replaced 150 bearing today at work.

I hope all have a nice printerhappy weekend or at least that the waiting time will be over soon.

@encity5 @swc1390

Also a New Yorker (Suffolk Co as well) - ordered May 10th, shipped Thursday June 11, sat in Germany June 12-13, arrived Memphis TN June 14, released from Customs June 15th, delivered in NY on June 16th.  This was via FedEx for an Orange/Black Kit + both sheets.  No custom fees were charged even though it exceeded $800.

Hang in there, it's well worth the wait!

Ordered assembled April 26th, as I wouldn't have had time to put it together. I'm good with the 5-6 week delay morphing to 7 then 8 weeks. But we are now working on 8 weeks+. It's been 12 days since support updated the shipping information. Anyone have any insight on how things are going?

Thanks, I'm trying to hang in there but it's getting kinda hard when each week we get closer to the actual estimated lead time only to have the real-time lead on the kit pushed back an additional week or two. I know many have waited a long time, but I'm at the original 4 weeks now and was hoping that the 6 week lead that was holding steady for almost two weeks was a sign of optimism; only to have the lead get upped to 7. I'm kinda losing hope that I'll receive my order anytime before August at the rate it's going. Negativity rant over.

RE: Unofficial order topic for mk3s

So I ordered mine on may 13th when the lead time was 3-4 weeks, I saw that come and go, now I'm at 6 weeks and counting. Hopefully soon. In the mean time I'm glad I picked up an Ender3 from a Microcenter about a month ago.  I've learned a lot and cant wait to compare it to the MK3S. I was lucky enough to be able to assemble and calibrate a Prusa Mini at work, wow it is so nice. Quite beyond compare, I know Prusa is a nice product but the lead times are crazy, I was thinking about investing in the company if it goes public but I'm not sure about their manufacturing process from what I've learned. A lot of talented people working there for sure.

My Prusa MK3S was ordered on the 18th March, and received it on the 5th April. They did say that the lead time is approximate and they may ship earlier or later.
