Where did you see it? The only twin spool holder I've seen and I don't have one is on the MK2 models.

The dual spool holder is not printed; it is injection molded.

There may be something on Github--I don't know--but there are several dual spoolholder designs on Thingiverse.

I was considering them myself ever since I got my MK3, but with the suspicions that one, now two spools would/could cause vibration I opted to forget it. If things go well I'll be mounting it above and behind the printer.

Re: twin spool holder

Good plan. 😉

Can you imagine someone trying to mount 5 spools up there, along with the MMU2? 😆

Re: twin spool holder

I mirrored the single filament holder along the X axis, so I can mount two holders in the centre of the top frame, with the handles facing out... to mount two rolls on one printer....

Re: twin spool holder

The new injected molded dual holder does not "clip" on very well. With the weight of the filament on it holds it in place but if pushed forward it falls off. I prefer the updated 3D printed version more.

all fitted now I feel the extra weight of the other spool helps absorb any vibrations after all you are only using one spool at a time well done joan atb pete
