Troubleshoot Asa print

hi

I’m printing using ASA and I’m getting some artifacts on the final surface layer. I’m using the asa prusament setting and my printer is in an ikea enclosure. Anyone know why this is happening especially why it’s happening only on part of the surface? See picture of the surface and the enclosure below

So I know you said you're using the preset for Prusament ASA but are you printing with that filament or a different brand? Also have you dried the filament?

Hi @sailoreric
Its not prusament. Its ASA+ 3DE Premium. It says "print temp: 245-255" on the spool so I've been printing at a slightly higher nozzle temp of 260. The filament have not been dried before use... Should that be necessary?

From you response I figure that the effect I see is not someting typical?

RE: Troubleshoot Asa print

ASA is hydroscopic so it might need to be dried. It also does not like drafts of air on the printing surface while printing. I've put up pieces of cardboard on edge around the printer and done well with it. It looks like it might be warping a bit near the end of the print?
