Trapezoidal Nut - Brass Alternate?
It seems that the Delrin trapezoidal nuts provided with the MK3 kit are fairly easy to cross thread and ruin. It happened to me and I've seen multiple users with this issue, or issues with binding T-Nuts in general.
Has anyone used Brass T8 nuts as an alternate? Are they any good? I would assume the quality of the nut plays heavily into whether or not they are good. I guess my question is better phrased...are cheap T8 nuts better, worse, or equivalent to the provided Delrin ones?

It seems slightly absurd to me that a leadscrew could be cross threaded.
That said, many lead screws use brass and it shouldn't be a problem. I really like the ones that came with my MK3 though.

I actually had mine off the other day and noticed the threads had been slightly chewed up. no idea how that happened.

I tried using the trapezoidal brass nuts when building my own printers, but they are suuuper-clacky. Like every time there is a Z-hop move.
It sounds roughly like this:
Clackclackclackclackclackclack
Wasn't better with the nuts that had a counterpart and a hard spring (anti backlash nuts)
Could not get fitting POM ones. Printed my own them from Polycarbonate.
