Tips for changing filament on run-out
Does anyone have any tips for changing filament mid print when it runs out? I decided to try doing this in order to use up some small scraps. After the filament sensor detects there is no filament, it's supposed to retract the last bit of filament so you can pull it out. I've tried this twice with no success, and ended up having to partially disassemble the extruder and get in there with pliers to pull out the scraps. Any suggestions or tricks that have worked for you? Could it be because the tensioner is too tight or too loose?

FYI - Next time, heat the nozzle up, open the extruder door and use your hex wrench or a 1.5mm rod to push filament down into the hotend far enough that you can push new filament in. No need for a tear-down.
