Thank you Prusa for power recovery feature

I was just now over 7 hours into an 8 hour print when severe storms moved through (60mph+ winds, hail, beating rain, thunder, lightning, etc.)  The storms knocked out the power for over an hour with only 45 minutes left on my print.  I was very frustrated then remembered that the MK3S has auto recovery if an outage occurs (I've never tested it).  Anyway, once power was restored, my printer automatically came on with the screen asking if I wanted to resume printing: yes/no.  I selected "yes", and to my amazement the printer warmed up and resumed right where it left off.

Awesome feature that I never thought I would need, but I can attest that it works and it saved me 7 hours of reprinting along with filament waste.

RE: Thank you Prusa for power recovery feature

I had a similar experience just yesterday, but not due to storms. I was having problems with my internet at home and after some futzing around I decided to power cycle all my house LAN equipment (Verizon FiOS modem, router with my DHCP tables, and my Orbi WiFi master router) by turning off the power strip. As soon as I turned off the power strip I heard my Prusa beep at me and only then did I remember that it is also plugged into the same power strip. I turned the power strip back on and the print continued without as if it had never turned off (well, after a reheat, but it wasn't off very long). Turns out the internet connection issue was a regional FiOS outage...

Power recovery saved my 13 hour print around hour 5. I can't even tell on the resulting print where the power outage was.

Funny thing is I had another issue last night.  Before I went to bed, I started a 7 hour print.  Woke up this morning and the print was about 6 hours done with the spool laying in the floor and the printer stopped.  Turns out the spool had a kink in it and when the filament broke and was used, the printer stopped detecting out of filament.  I resumed the print, it warmed up, I reinserted filament, and was off to the races - 6 hours saved again.

I absolutely love this printer, and can't say enough positive things about it.
