Textured PEI sheet showed up out of nowhere yesturday (Febuary 10 MK3 order)
So a thin package from Prusa showed up yesturday out of nowhere, no email. It was Textured PEI sheet! I checked my eshop account and I didn't see any record of it either, so I guess I got lucky and am an "early tester"
So of course I tested it out and it's been great 😀 PLA parts stick really well as long as you keep the bed at a constant temp above glass transition, and pop right off once it's all the way down to ambient, or when you flex it.
Some of the silk screen isn't perfect, but it's an early batch.

I got stickered instead of powder coated for my mk3 and mk2 upgrade, ordered in october

Can you swap it out with the original sheet between prints? Or do you have to change the Z-height or some other parameter?
I am looking forward to being able to receive mine. The surface looks awesome.

There is a slight difference in thickness so you will need to adjust your Z. If you write your Z values down you should be able to easily adjust it after you initially calibrate it.

I went from a Live Z value of .825 to 1.125 when I put on the new textured sheet.

Yes, the sheet is much thinner (and lighter) so the live-z will be different. As a side note, I have the nozzle scarily close to the bed to get the perimeters and bottom to look really nice and make the nozzle lines invisible. I don't have a reference for live-z's between the two because I had to move my PINDA probe anyways, it was slowly sliding down increasing my live-z.
Hopefully they start sending out more of them and catching up on earlier orders! Not sure why I got mine, rather than say an earlier order who delayed, but hopefully this means they figured out production and they're gunna be on the e-shop soon.
