SunLu PETG settings

I have have been setting my temps for the subject filament to first layer 240/85 and second layer+ 250/90 to get good adhesion.  SunLu box says to use a range of 190-220.

Anyone else experience this higher temp?

I use the generic PETG settings for Sunlu. Works for me.

I use SUNLU PETG at a print temperature of 215 Dec, First layer 80 bed then 85 for the rest.

The biggest improvement has been to only have a fan speed of 16, yes 16, any lower and it stalls and keep your printing speed down.

With this I get really good strong prints which adhere very well.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Perhaps you have the wrong box?  The temperature range you mention matches their PVA recommendation.  SunLu claims their PETG needs 220-250/70-80:

@sca

That is a good point - or the wrong filament in the box.  It is not unheard of.

My 2 cents. Starting printing with SUNLU PETG, I followed some indication in this thread.

But I have to admit that the best settings for my MK3S+ are the same of Prusament PETG.

Similar values for me.  I started at Sunlu PETG and had less than ideal results and then tried Prusament PETG and adjusted from there,

@cwbullet

thank you for the feedback.

I only had to change a little the Live Z (smaller value - major distance). I don't know if this is a normal thing to do when you change the filament brand.

@androx

Live Z change can be common with some filament brands.

Yes I have noticed this as well.  So much so that I was searching for information on SunLu PETG and that is how I found your post.  I also notice that it depends on the color of SunLu PETG as well.  The green and blue I print at 238 C.  The white and black Sunlu PETG take a much higher temp.  I am printing white at 247C and black at 250 C.  It's very frustrating that their recommended temps are not even close to producing good results.
