Stress relief on X ends
Hi all,
What's the idea behind the "stress reliefs" on the x ends? Does it really absorb some stress on the X axis? It looks useless on x-end-motor then, no?
Re: Stress relief on X ends
It is how its been made in Openscad they use the same asset of both parts this way when they make a change to the shared asset it applies to both parts.
Does it need to be on the stepper side no, Does it affect the function of the part no, So why spend the time making a separate asset just for that one part when you can use a shared asset.
On the pully side its there to give some play when you over tighen the screw so you dont brake the part.

Oh that's for the tightening of the screws, understand now! Thanks 😉
I read the OpenSCAD files and know that they share x-end.scad, but I am going to do my mod on Fusion 360

How are you bringing the OpenScad models into Fusion? OpenScad is polygon based and Fusion is nurbs.
Re: Stress relief on X ends
I read the code and re-draw everything from scratch, much flexible to add improvements
