Strange printing problem

I have a strange printing problem. My MK3S prints the calibration test by jeffjordan but the edges are messed up for some reason. I am thinking that it might be because of the small amount of oozing. It seems like the extruded plastic is sticking up in the air and getting caught by the nozzle/heater-block.

The Z level seemed good so I started printing an actual part that requires support. The printer did the skirt lines perfectly (sticks to bed perfectly) but when it starts to do the support rafts, the same problem occurs. The extruded filament is not sticking to the bed and gets caught up around the nozzle.

Couldn’t find a way to edit the original post. But here is the photo. I do not understand how or what is causing the edges or corners to be lifted like that.

RE: Strange printing problem

I assume that you are printing with PLA. Looks like the bed adhesion is bad, maybe the build plate have been touched with the fingers (grease).

I would wash the build plate with disk wash and hot water and quickly it to avoid rust - only touch the build plate on the edges. If that is not enough, you could try with IPA and maybe lower your live-z. Do not use acetone on the textured build plate.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉
