Stacked Part Cooling Blowers

Has anyone considered stacking another part cooling blower fan next to the original one with a 1/4" air gap between them?
The 2nd power wires could be tapped into the original so they would both be controllable. The part cooling duct could be modified and extended forward to include the 2nd blower fan duct. The Einsy board maximum driver current for the blower motor is unknown and I don't have correct schematic.

I looked for a 50mm blower fan with all the goodies but only found one 30mm thick version that seems to be discontinued.

Cheers

Re: Stacked Part Cooling Blowers

I wonder if anybody has tried to exchange the 5V fan for a 12V or 24V version.

The GND and Tacho should be passed through, the VCC must be taken from somewhere (anywhere on EINSY or a step down converter). As it is a 3 wire fan, VCC has to be PWM driven, so a small electronic must be added (not much more than a transistor?)

If that would work out, we could design a small board that does everything needed and could be attached between EINSY and the 12/24V fan.

All that of course because a 12V or 24V fan should have more power, right? So no added weight on the extruder, keep the original fan duct would be the benefits compared to a second fan.

I was going to say the same. Not a lot of options for 50mm 5v blower fans.
