So Excited!

Order placed for MK3 Kit on 5/2/2018 and just got shipping information on 6/7/2018! I wasn't expecting it to ship until at least the end of June according to the shipping table.

This will be my first 3DPrinter, but I've had a month to read through the awesome instruction manual online and through this very informative forum. I definitely plan on taking my time through the kit build though, although I don't know if the gummies will last as long. 🙂 I plan on getting all of the associated parts for JKSniper's enclosure and have already ordered his V2 Electronics panel. Seems like an expensive piece, but it looks like a well thought out design and my MK3 will look great in it!

As mentioned, pretty much brand new to 3DPrinting, but bought it mainly for RC aircraft related parts/add-ons. Of course the main reason I wanted a 3DPrinter and the reason I decided to go with Prusa is because of the 3dlabprint.com guys and their fantastic aircraft designs. I bought the Cessna 152 already, so once I am confident in my calibration data and my enclosure is complete, that will likely be my first big print. I still need to decide on a color scheme and get the filament on order.

Thanks again Jo for an outstanding product and of course to everyone on this forum for posting and answering each of the questions. I'm a part of the FB group, but haven't been able to spend much time on there yet.

Re: So Excited!

You have good times ahead 🙂

Take your time with the build and get it right. It's not a race. It's well worth building it slowly and properly, and very satisfying when it comes to life. Build something that you are proud of!

And don't be discouraged with small setbacks when configuring and tuning your printer. The key to success here is patience and understanding and you will soon come to know your printer and its behaviour like an old friend.

Sounds cheesy but it is the thing to say around these parts. Happy Printing! 🙂

Hmm, I'm thinking I have enough Haribo Gummies now to last me my entire build. 😆 😯

I found a stash of them where I am at and decided to grab a handful to take home with me for the build.

Re: So Excited!

Thanks Joan, I didn't even think about that. I'll have to do a search on what recommended items to have on hand.

I did order a 2 spools of nGen Prusa Orange 2kg, 4 - E3D V6 Nozzles (0.4mm) , 1 - Hardened steel E3D V6 Nozzle (0.4mm), and 2 - Replacement PEI Sheets. I believe that was all that was really available when I made the purchase.

I just noticed that Prusa added a lot of the electronics to the store.

Definitely need to save on the shipping costs, as well as shop around for cheaper shipping items (filament, etc.)
