It is now 7:13 am the following day and DHL's answer is "it may be delivered between 12:30 and 3:30". Apparently the yearly holiday in the United States caught them off guard, you know, it's never happened before except every year for the last 120+ years. Guess DHL sold off all those trucks they bought and drove all over the place to advertise that they were delivering in the United States now. I don't remember the last time I actually saw a DHL truck in the wild, so I'm assuming 1 truck for all of Southern California these days.

Stay away from the DHL shipping! It's 10:30 pm on delivery day and the package is still "With delivery courier" and DHL says they can deliver up to midnight. I should have paid the stupid import tax and shipped with UPS.

Yes, it came to the US. I wish I had just gone with UPS, they have a better record than DHL. If you are doing a job and you run out of time at the end of the day, the next day you'd start where you left off. Not at DHL, they just go back to the beginning of their route and to hell with the people who were waiting for packages. Just google "DHL bad service" and see page after page of websites with terrible reviews of this lousy logistics company.

I have had good success with DHL. I think you will find poor service with all delivery services. I think it really depends on what and where it is being shipped.

I'm pretty patient, but I'll be asking this anyway out of curiosity.

I ordered my printer today and its on backorder, how long does it normally take for it to not be?

if it's the just the mk3 kit with a PEI sheet it should be fast.

if its power coated its like a month, if its pre built add month also.

just from what ive noticed.

I just ordered mine today (November 15, 2018) with smooth PEI since there's no powder coated left. It's currently marked as backorder, does anyone have any idea how long it will probably take to ship out?

Looks like it changed to shipping soon this morning! Hopefully I get it by Thanksgiving so I have something to do over the long weekend 🙂

I ordered mine on December 11th 8:45 AM Eastern Standard Time. It is still sitting at Payment Accepted. Are there any other intermediary steps before shipping?

Ordered mk3 11 december. Information says:

"order before 12 december to get it before x-" mas, 1-2 weeks preparation"

But then next day the information changed at mk3 shopping site to

"2-3 weeks preparation for new orders"

Will my order shipped in january or any chance to get this before x-mas?

I ordered the Kit on November 29th. At that time it said Allow 4 Days Lead Time. Sat at Payment Accepted for about a week then went to Shipping Soon.
I guess I am just spoiled with Amazon Prime... but I am still sitting at Shipping Soon.
Previous experience with DHL International also tells me even if it ships today (which it isn't) - it will NOT make it before Xmas.
2 Days to get to the US, another 2-3 days in customs, (add weekend down time in there somewhere) then 1-2 days to my office.
I just want to cry - I have messed up my husband's Xmas gift just about every year now... 😥

Ordered my mk3 kit on Monday December 10th. Got my tracking number today and should be delivered Thursday December 20th to the USA.

DHL from Prusa works pretty fast every other time of year. Mine was shipped on a Friday, delivered to Houston on Monday (June).

You ordered the kit, so it's not like he'd be printing next Tuesday, regardless. Wrap up a picture of the printer. Print out a chapter of the manual. DON'T let him see this forum! It'll depress him terribly 😀
Get him some ball head metric Allen wrenches. A small electric screwdriver and a 2.5mm bit. A nut driver set for the nylock nuts. Filament!
