Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Just a quick update. Ordered 10/5. Label created 12/21 and sat in "clearance" until 1/9 when as of 20 minutes ago UPS tracking still had the "delayed" message. Just got an email from UPS that I should expect a delivery from Prusa Research tomorrow. I'm in California.

Edit: it is under a different tracking number. Old was was the typical 1Z.... format. New one starts with a W. No update to my account status page with the new tracking number.

I had the same thing happen. My tracking now starts with a W.

I'm imagining that since the Thermistor issue delayed shipments, UPS issued new Tracking Numbers because the old ones were so... old.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

We have seen grouping patterns in deliveries in december.

It could make sense. Out of curiosity yesterday I went on the UPS website and did a UPS Express quote from Prague to my address. After converting the local currency it came out to approximately $350 Usd. There's no doubt in my mind that Prusa has a UPS business account so he can offer competitive pricing on world wide shipping. To that end, UPS may send an email to their business partners and say "A plane to Philly is a little light and we need more shipments to go to this hub. Prusa could review their orders and bump up those shipments.

This is purely speculation on my part.

Edit: my tracking starts with 1Z and has been stuck in clearance for almost 24 hours. If it gets delayed in clearance, like others indicated, that puts me back in line with the shipping schedule.

Edit 2: nvm, my tracking just updated and is on target to be delivered on 1/16.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

I just looked at my tracking, and the link they emailed me and the link on the order page are two different tracking numbers. The emailed link is stuck at the clearance agency. But the link on the order page shows it actually has had its export scan done. 😕

My MK3 kit ordered Oct4 also has been hung-up as well and still has a 1Z tracking number and "Your package may be delayed. We are adjusting delivery plans as quickly as possible. " status. My MK2 came through into the USA via Kentucky (I think), so I suspect the new MK3 will follow the same route.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Ok. I am going to shut up now. Literally minutes after mentioning it is still in UPS limbo in Prague and UPS confirming that (above), I get an alert that it is in Philly and arrives tomorrow. The whole UPS timeline just snapped from stuck to 36 hours of constant unimpeded movement as I had dared to hope. Bizarre but pleasing news. 🙂

Hey, greetings from Bucks County, PA! (just outside of Philly)

Ok, I lied. I'm not shutting up yet. It turns out Prusa might have upgraded or otherwise changed the shipping since I just noticed the tracking I've been following remains the same but the notice I got showing Philly is a whole new shipment. The original tracking is Express Saver and it's Worldwide Saver now. So that means the Prusa shipping notice is the "real" one and my 12/21 tracking is toast.

And hello, Corey, there in Bucks County! Been to Doylestown a few times since it has deep family ties including where my Mom went to high school and my parents were married. 🙂 I call Virginia, home, though.

It gets all the more fascinating. My new tracking number is moving predictably for delivery today. My original number that I assumed was now invalid actually lit up shortly after. They are following roughly the same path but are hours apart in updates and both still claim my destination and delivery today. They seem to be linked or possibly synonymous but running on very different schedules.

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Got an email at 2:20am central time that my package had shipped!

I have a new tracking number with expedited UPS shipping that was picked up on the 10th. It was at the clearance agency in Prague for just over 12 hours. It left Germany at 6am local time on the 12th.

No estimated delivery date yet, but I'm really happy it's almost here 🙂

Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

Sonic, your orders were being moved around TO SORT THEM. You can go make your own sheet if you need your information to remain static. You aren't special, and locking the sheet prevents others from maintaining it. Stop locking cells/rows/columns. Please unlock the ones you have locked.

I can't even properly update Data Validation or Formatting rules with Rows locked. I can't update the Data Validation to add Bermuda for all cells, because of these locked rows. All rules must now explicitly exclude rows 129&130 which means twice as many rules. Where before we could have had a rule for 1-600 now we can only have a rule from 1-128 and then another from 131 to 600. Could you imagine if everyone went around locking their rows? We would have thousands of formatting and validation rules real quick. Looks like I can't even revert changes anymore with Rows 129&130 being locked by Sonic. Not sure if that's why but this is the first time I've been unable to roll back, though I haven't had to yet.

Adam, could you please unlock Rows 129&130 when you have a chance if Sonic hasn't done so already?

Martin, why the hell did you delete the upper right of the Orders sheet? We are using that information. You changed adeshield's order from Bermuda to United Kingdom because it seems you don't understand the Data Validation system. Bermuda is not very close to the UK, so even though it is a British Overseas Territory (which I think is what you were going for with UK) I think it's important to make the distinction. Please allow others to fix validation since there are actually a couple different things to change when adding new countries.

Boy, I hosed that good. I was looking at the protected areas and had no idea it deleted the entire section. My apologies! It was not my intent to remove that data. Of course it is critical. I will refrain from trying to keep things tidy and leave it up to whoever is entering their own info.

No worries, I had made a backup so it wasn't too hard to revert- I had just assumed you deleted it on purpose since it seemed like such an obvious change, sorry for jumping to conclusions.

Moving rows around and fixing issues (such as typos and formatting) is usually perfectly okay, I just want to make sure we aren't trimming data unless necessary. If you accidentally switched it to UK, then no big deal, I just wanted to clarify that we're adding new countries as they come instead of forcing conformity. The list of countries is not intended to be inclusive of all options, though I will update it to be inclusive as new countries are entered.

Also sometimes the Data Validation bugs out and says that certain valid entries (such as "Kit" or "Orange") are invalid. This is easy to fix once noticed, just open and save the Data Validation for that cell and that seems to make it recheck the options and accept them as valid again. If that doesn't work I just clear the cell (by selecting it and hitting Backspace), redo the validation, then select the option again, and this time it will accept it as Valid.
