Re: Ship Date Tracking Spreadsheet

According to the spreadsheet, no shipments since the 22nd. When are these hard working souls going to return from their hard earned Christmas vacation? Lol

I just noticed on their order estimate table they aren't shipping anything out until January 8th. Office closed for two weeks for xmas and new year. Not sure how many Orthodox ppl live there but their xmas isn't until January 7th. So, not much gets done for a few weeks.

Week 40 - From December 18, 2017
Week 41 - From January 8, 2018

Yeah mine moved to "Order being Packed" today, so they're back at work again. I'm hoping it will make it out the door today, but I'm expecting tomorrow.

Fingers crossed. My order has been packing since the 21st and still shows that status right now. My tracking has been in Customs Clearance also since the 21st and still no change as I write this. Love to think it has moved on to UPS and pending an update.

Alex,
That's a range, it doesn't say that they are closed. It simply means there is a 20 day window to get that week's orders out.

I'm off from until 1/9 so I'd be a bit of a hypocrite to complain about my order shipping in Jan, yeah mine's due to ship out in the next wave, though having it over break would have been nice it would also have taken away from precious family time. We all need down time to keep from burning out.

Well... bummer. Nothing happened yesterday and not seeing any change yet today so far, either. Think I'm stuck and losing hope of it arriving now while I'm still off since I'm back to work on the 1/3. At least it's a short week to the weekend again, but sure would have loved to be building it already this week.

I'm growing a little impatient, but not in a bad way. I just want (not need) some answers lol. Did they find a problem they needed to address? I know Tom's unboxing video showed that the main features of the printer are beta at best. Are they waiting to ship so they can fix firmware issues? It's been 8 days since they shipped a printer, so speculation suggests that there is a problem with supply chain or they are troubleshooting.

I've started to have similar questions... not sure if the holiday period is just much reduced activity on the shipping front (which bums me out since I got a tracking number early enough to receive it this week, but no motion since) or if they are putting on the brakes to deal with issues.

I'm a cynic and am an early critic with regard to Prusa's transparency with ship dates but they've have been pretty clear for a while now... They had no intentions of shipping over Christmas break. OTOH, if they did find a problem and you've yet to receive your printer it's a good thing.

edit: and yes I'm still waiting on my printer but feel I'd be a hypocrite expecting them to work over Christmas while I sit on my a$$ and enjoy the holiday...

To be clear - I don't disagree on both points. Holiday time is much deserved and if they are dealing with issues, I'd rather get the post-corrected version than prior if it's hardware (though I don't at all mind working through reprinting new parts, etc., for the depth of understanding that provides... I buy a kit because I like getting my hands dirty). Software issues I can deal with as upgrades happen. They, too, provide valuable printer insight as the fixes happen.

I was just lamenting the frustration of getting a tracking number early enough that I was all jazzed to dig into the build process while I had 10 days off. I've got plenty of other projects in the hopper, though... 🙂

Actually, the issues being reported have gotten me digging into deeper calibration of MK2S to both increase my knowledge for possible MK3 troubleshooting and to have a solid quality benchmark to meet or exceed once I do have my MK3.

Oh I understand... I was under the impression I would have my printer by end of year when I placed my order, I'm a punctuality freak in everything I do. Looking at a tracking number with no movement would likely make me batty enough to where I'd be checking tracking status every half hour full of dejection between.

I’m so jealous I’d love nothing more than to intercept your package and cut the belts in your kit with a pair of scissors. Congrats.... lol
