SD card not seen

I had a new 64gb SD card so I thought I would use it for gcode programs. I fully formatted it (ex FAT) but when I put it into the card reader the display is saying ‘no SD card’. Is it the wrong format or is 64gb too big.

Not only is 32GB the max, but it has to be formatted in FAT16. ExFAT isn't supported.

So, yeah... You had both problems. 😉

(Note, Window's built in formatter won't format a 32GB SD card in FAT16. You'll need to either use another OS, or a 3rd party formatter program on Win.)

Diskpart will let you do fat32 partitions over the (arbitrary and stupid) limit.

Also, you mean fat32. Fat16 is obsolete as of Win95/8.  and can't handle partitions over 2gb... 😛

Yes FAT32. My mistake. Thanx for the correction.
