Prusa MK3 suddenly incorrectly decides the print is done

Here is a quick video I made that sums it all up.

Summary: Shortly into the print, the MK3 will immediately stop printing and the screen says "Print done" even though it just started printing. I've tried multiple memory cards. This has happened with multiple g-code files made by multiple slicer programs (Cura and Slic3r Prusa Edition).

Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you tried printing via other than the SD card?

I ask because there are/have been other issues when printing from SD card. Mine stops printing with an "SD Card Removed" message. There's an issue about it on GitHub.

Since then, I've been printing via Pronterface with no problems.

I actually usually print from Octoprint, but for some of these calibration type prints I typically just throw the code on an SD card.

Have you previewed the gcode to make sure it's complete. If your slicer allows loading gcode, try going through each layer in preview to see if there's anything consistent. CraftWare allows this. You can also go to gcode.ws and upload your file for inspection.

If the gcode files are correct, is there anything else consistent? Does the same file always stop at the same place?

Finally, you might try reaching out to support. This is definitely not something that should be happening.

Since you've tried different cards, I'd try printing via Octo & Pronterface, and see if it still happens. If not, you may just have a wonky card reader. If it does still happen... I don't know what kinds of things might trigger that message. I've had prints stop/fail for various reasons, but I've never gotten that message with it. 😳
