Prusa MK3 Build Plate Material
Hey there!
I want to experiment using several build plate modifications such as PP tape, on-textile, glue, on-HDPE, etc. But I don't really want to mess up my PEI coated build plates. I've got a water jet cutter that I can use so I want to cut out a blank build plate for this experimental stuff. I know the build plate base material is some grade of spring steel but I'm not sure which. Probably non-heat treated spring steel? Does it matter that much? Would a different grade of spring steel mess up with the proximity sensor? I would love some ideas or better yet if anyone knows the exact specification of spring steel used in Prusa build plates
