Prints aren't printing straight up for certain types of prints.

I'm trying to figure out if this is layer shifting, or something else.  I've printed large prints before, but mostly at a 45 deg angle with supports and those seemed to come out fine. I also rarely print items that are this tall. This current print which needs to be broken up into several pieces since it's quite large is printed standing straight up.  This print gets wavy on the way up on one side, but it seems like the other sides are ok.  The model is straight as it's an even larger piece that I split into 2 pieces to fit the bed.  Does this look like a belt tension issue?  The wavy side of the prints were facing the front of the printer.

What layer height are you using?

Whilst there are signs your belt tensions are not ideal and your filament is damp I doubt this is the cause of your underlying problem which looks more like warping.

Please save your project as a .3mf file

Files > Save Project as

Zip the .3mf and post it here. It will contain both your part and your settings for us to diagnose.

First layer 0.2mm the rest 0.15mm.  I've kept mostly defaults.  Hopefully the attachment comes through.  I had to zip the .3mf file.

I'd agree, from the pics that looks like the side facing the fan is contracting more due to getting better cooling.

I just realized that I left out some details, and also that my attachment still didn't come through.

  • - I am using PETG filament
  • - I print in my Garage and the weather has been cold

Is it about time that I start looking at some sort of enclosure if warping is the case?

I see nothing very wrong with your settings.

Those are biggish parts so for stiffness I would change to cubic infill.

I see no obvious reason to use 0.15 layers, try 0.2mm.

And in general as walls get bigger it helps to use more perimeters, three would be my choice.

But it's the printing conditions that are most likely to be at fault.

First clean your print fan (small paintbrush) and make sure your fan shroud is in good condition and correctly fitted.

And try the temporary enclosure trick - also known as a large cardboard box dropped over the working printer to see if that helps.

Cheerio,
