Printing from SD sometimes stops when printing the skirt

I have been printing soldly for several months now.. Initially from SD, and then from Octoprint..

I have a project that I am going to print many times and figured that for this kind of job it would be worth having it on SD so I can do a standalone print..

So I created the GCODE and kicked off the print and to my surprise the print just stopped when doing thje skirt.. There was no errors it just stopped and the heaters turned off.

I repeated the job and it was fine, so I thought nothing of it... I have since printed the same job 10 times and no problem.. But today its doing the same thing.. 1/3 of the way around the Skirt it stops printing.. And this time its done it 4 times in a row..

Anyone got any thoughts?

Jon

I would try a different SD card.

I think it might have something to do with Octoprint.. I am not 100% sure, but i think when this happened OP was "Connected"..

I am wondering whether there is a conflict between Octoprint and SD printing.. Could it be as simple as that? Can you have OP "connected" when printing from SD?

Turn off Octolapse.

I see the same thing when I go from Octoprint to my sdcard to check the first layer.

If this is the explanation, I am pretty sure it is.. Its a shame that OctoPrint can't perform some kind of "passive" function where its still connected but only monitoring..

But its no big deal.. 95% of my prints are via Octopi.. But I am just doing a batch of repeatable prints which make more sense to run from the SD.

Cheers
