To be fair- it's like if you go to the store and you buy a TV, and then next week it goes 50% off, it's not really the stores fault you bought it too early.

Where have you seen this reduced price, I have just checked and the prices are unchanged as far as I can see ?

It'd also be a very strange thing for a company to reduce the price on an item that is selling so well there is a waiting list of a few weeks ?

Major retailers will give you the difference if you bring your receipt within 30 days. Some major credit card companies will do this also.

Looking at their shipping leadtimes, the Pre-assembled are tanking. If you bought one today, you will have it in 3 weeks!!! Whereas the Kits are still 5 weeks out. I'm not sure what the "ratio" to ship is, but at the start of Feburary, the Pre-assembled were ALMOST 2 weeks behind the kits. And now, the Pre-assembled is 2 weeks ahead of the kits. Either Prusa has increased the number of assemblers by a large margin, or the people buying pre-assembled, dropped off a cliff.

edit: no discount on 2nd kit... just checked. 🙁

They said they added more employees this month. also a new devs for slic3er. probably for MMU V2.

Oooo!!! New Slic3r devs... That makes me really REALLY happy. Slic3r has a LOT of potential, it just has some FATAL issues. (I still use it though... at least until I win the lottery and get me a copy of S3D... lol

I don't know how much "pre-assembly" there will be for MMU v2, or if they need more "talent" for the software, But I know who engineered it, and it's 99% done hardware. It's just a question of software. It's such a "bare" mechinical design, that makes it SUUUPER simple. As long as they are sticking with the optical sensor... which I have a gut feeling that could be their issue. "How to Make MMU v2, work without sensors... cause the optical sensors only work 2/3rd of the time... and with MMU.. a SINGLE failure, can mean print failure. (or require intervention, which defeats the purpose of the MMU.

As the description of the assembled mk3 says: if you buy it you also get 10% discount on the whole webshop, not only a second mk3

In their update it says production delays due to heatbeds and such. They probably have the same number of assemblers building things so the stream of assembled printers is steady whereas the supply of kits dropped because the lack of parts. The original estimate back in January was to be shipping 2 weeks of orders every week and be basically caught up by now but its been gradually pushed back bit by bit.

I just ordered my Printer 3 days ago, and they just lowered the price $100!

What are my options? I would gladly take a credit, or vouchers, as I will want more build plates, and spare parts down the line lol

ADMIN EDIT: The price of the Original Prusa i3 MK3 assembled remains the same. Only if you order a second assembled printer (first must be already ordered), you get 10% discount.

Just looking to buy a second mk3 and asked on there chat about discount. 5% if you bought a kit and 10% off if you bought a pre built. But it dosn't show when i go into the store? From what i was told it should show the discount all the time when logged on.

The discount only applies if the first printer you bought was an assembled printer and you want to buy another assembled printer. Does not apply to kits.

If you bought the kit you get a 5% discount on filament only. If you bought a pre-assembled printer you get a 10% discount on pre-assembled printers and a 10% discount on filament.
