It sounds to me... like the answer keeps changing...
11/3: Backlog of 12,000
12/5: Backlog of 16,000
12/9: Backlog of 15,000... AND only the first 2000 went out...Someone's math is broken.

What makes matters worse here is support told me on 11/3 that it would be 3 batches of 1000 for each month.

Now, in TODAY'S discussion with support, two different answers. The first guy sat there and directly contradicted Jo Prusa's latest blog post on the subject.... Second guy's response was a basic "I don't know."

👿 😳 😯 I'm really getting TIRED of the inconsistency. At this point, I'll buy the next Prusa product when hell freezes over. (Pigs can and have already been flying - straight into my window...)

I'll be dead and gone before these things are fulfilled, and that is probably not an exaggeration. It's so ridiculous.

I am not sure why support would release that info. That is bad press.

Prusa has become an absolute joke when it comes to fulfilling promises. Worst part is that they really don't seem to care because the orders are still rolling in 🙁

I ordered my printer September 24, 2017 and got my voucher a few weeks back and I have received the textured build plate and it is good quality. I never really worried about the textured plate too much since I liked the smooth one a lot. It's nice to have it and I'm sorry not everyone has it. The main advantage I see is that a person might make a decorative item and use the texture facing out on their item. I don't see an important functional difference other than I have to set different offset heights for the different build plate options.

I have a TXT PC plate. The Quality is also good. I just do not see a benefit over PEI unless printing PETG or ABS.

Just got the email regarding the voucher selection! I chose option 2,buy the powder coated sheet at a discount. I ordered my printer 10/28/2017

Just got the email also - MK3 order date 12/7/2017. Seems like this email should have come out a while ago. It didn't really do anything as far as customers getting the textured sheets, but it does define the scope of the delivery problem for Prusa & Co.

Had they done this weeks ago then they'd know how many customers actually want the textured sheet, how many would take the smooth sheet (and could supposedly be satisfied quickly) and how many would take the $30 voucher (and could be satisfied immediately).

I really like the finish from the textured sheet (at least what I saw from my kit parts), so I'm in the textured group. We'll see when I get an actual voucher and can order.

I ordered my MK3 mid Oct 2017 and received my voucher selection email today.

I've been using the textured sheet from the guy selling them in October and I really like the textured finish. Nicely hides many minor defects of the 1st layer and matches the overall finsh better than a mirror smooth finish.

Based on past here: Most have selected the powder coated sheets. a few have selected the coupon.

For those of us on the other side of the pond the coupon would only cover shipping. Unfortunately for Prusa I just purchased a spare PEI sheet from them a couple of weeks ago to burn up the survey coupon they sent making the possibility of me taking the PEI sheet over the textured sheet if less likely.

Received my PC sheet voucher yesterday (MK3 kit ordered October 6/17) and opted for the free PEI sheet. Cost of shipping and additional delay for PC sheet excludes the other choices. Just want to be finished with the misguided business decisions and overall chaos.

I opted for the PEI sheet. Also bought one with the survey voucher. I like the smooth finish and quite frankly, I haven't read any reports of users of the PC sheets that convince me they're worth having.

I'm ordering every few months up to 6 printer kits for doing workshops in our hackerspace. The last orders were 3, 5 and another 3 MK3 kits. So far I got only one voucher.

I asked the support how many vouchers are there for me - he answered 4. I can't see where 4 could match my orders ... still waiting for more answers.
