PLA stringing

Hi guys,

Have printed a few things now since I got my mk3 a few weeks back. I'm in the process of printing the Endeavour that is available on thingiverse.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:478422

It's not a huge print but I've noticed some very fine stringing between some of the finer details. Ie. Ropes. I want to tweak the retract settings slightly... probably retract distance. I havent really been able to find any thing. Anyone out there got any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: PLA stringing

Try lowering the temp a few degrees or increasing retraction slightly. That most likely will take care of it for you. The temp should be the first try perhaps 5 degrees lower so long as you are not below the recommendation of the manufacturer or hear skipping.

print a bunch of these and try out different settings: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22263

I usually end up around 1-1.5mm retraction at 40-50mms with around .5 or .6 hop.
