Personal recommendations for PETG on the textured bed.
I've recently had some really bad experiences with Overture and Polymaker filament. I could get it to adhere but only at 260-270 and it was dicey even then. Very stringy. I even dehydrated the Polymaker filament overnight, but still having trouble.
I'm finding that it's hard to find printer-specific recommendations, so I'm curious if folks would be willing to offer up recommendations for filament for the MK3/S/+ that they've personally had good experiences with.

Sure. Overture.
This is just to show that someone else's personal experience may or may not be relevant to you and your printer. In general, I have had very good experience with Overture PETG. But then again, I also had a few rolls that had issues. And some where I had to wonder whether they put the filament onto the spool manually and if that particular worker had been drunk. But in general, Overture has worked out fine for me. Contrary to your experience I actually lower the temperature to 230, to reduce stringing, and still have excellent adhesion (satin sheet).
I'm not at all suggesting it's a bad idea to ask for filament recommendation, but just be ready to find out that someone else's favorite filament may be a dud when you try it on your printer. You may also find that even within one brand different colors may give you different results. Most of the time most filaments seem to work just fine with default settings for me but I'm not surprised anymore if a new spool suddenly acts differently than the one before.

Sure, if I'm going in blind I'd rather go in blind on something with a little positive a priori knowledge though. I swear the mixed teflon in with the red Overture I just tried...

I've had some bad luck with the clear Polymaker PETG, but eventually I got it sorted out.
I think "bad" may at times be limited to a batch or the local conditions at the printer. If a company truly made bad filament, they really wouldn't last very long. A reputation like that would be hard to dodge.
Personally, I've had great luck with Overture. They're my preferred brand besides Prusament.

I have only tried the Prusament PETG Black and the Polymaker PolyLite PETG.. The Prusament is always good.. I had good luck with my PolyLite PETG, but have only used one spool. Initially I had issues with the Z height but once I got that sorted out.. and temps.. I use 240F and 85F and bed adherence is very good. I use the rough PEI sheet exclusively now on PETG. When I was using the smooth sheet I had to use glue stick. If you are going that high in temps, maybe the Z is too high. I found the bed temps important. The Poly PETG is pretty solid.. don't think I had one issue in last 10 prints with it.

I think I found my issue, I had a small leak around the nozzle of plastic that was denaturing. I think that was effectively coating my extrusion in a thin layer of oil and preventing it from sticking. I've got a first layer going now after taking it apart, cleaning it well and reseating everything, knock on wood.

Overall I've had good luck with various Overture PETg filaments on both the smooth and textured plates.
