PEI boards, differences + info Multi Material

Hello,
can anyone explain to me the difference between a smooth PEI plate and a powder coated PEI plate.
I mean exactly
"Waiting time for new orders: a plate with smooth PEI sheets - available FROM HAND - 1 day to prepare the order / PEI powder spray-coated plate - 4-5 weeks. (Help.prusa3d.com/shippingtable)"

How one disc works and the other.

I attach a question to the subject. How many will I receive such plates by buying the i3 mk3 set for my own assembly.

And what do you think about the Multi Material upgrade, wait for now with this?
Why is it not possible to buy as a complete prusa i3 mk3 set with Multi Material?

Thanks for the answers
Beginner Kamil

The Multi Material Upgrade just started shipping in the past couple weeks. I've had mine for a few days.

For a beginner, I recommend starting with just the regular printer and getting some experience. 3D printing is not plug-and-play yet (unless you're willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars). The MMU adds a lot of complexity, so it's helpful to have a solid basic understanding how it works before you dive into the expert end of the pool.

Right now Prusa is only selling the MMU as an upgrade kit, which means you need to put it all together from a box of parts and some (very easy to follow) instructions. I can't speak to why they're not selling preassembled MK3+MMU units, but my guess is that it's because the MMU is so new that they want to get it into the hands of experienced users and work out the bugs before thinking about making it easier to get into the MMU.
