Partial MK3S+ upgrade to get improved fan shroud
I've just had a MK3S fan shroud melt on me. Luckily I have a spare, so now I'm printing some more spares. I think the improved support for the fan shroud in MK3S+ would be good to have, but I don't want to upgrade the whole extruder right now. From looking at the recently released STLs, comparing to the MK3S (non-plus) ones, it seems that I could just replace fan-shroud.stl, extruder-cover.stl and print-fan-support.stl. Does this seem like a viable and wise plan?

You can do that if you have ASA or PC, but you'll have to cut off the peg on the right side shroud, since the MK3 / MK3S extruder cover does not have the corresponding groove for that peg.

@jonniezg My proposal as per original post was to replace the extruder cover, fan support and fan shroud with the MK3S+ versions, thus the peg would fit.
