Re: Original Prusa Drivers & Apps - 2.2.2
The PrusaControl software still shows as 0.9.4_415_beta and the Slic3r engine is shown as 1.37.2.1 - a long way behind the current version 1.41.2, are there any plans to update this at some stage?

No. The development of PrusaControl was stopped. Use Slic3er. It will be the new PrusaControll after the next major release.
Re: Original Prusa Drivers & Apps - 2.2.2
Peter is correct, please use the Slic3r PE. We are currently working on merging both slicers together.
Re: Original Prusa Drivers & Apps - 2.2.2
Ok, thanks very much - better to focus on one tool, although PrusaControl is 'quick and easy'
Slic3r PE is certainly a very comprehensive piece of software

Yes you can quite easy with modifier meshes:
https://manual.slic3r.org/advanced/modifier-mesh
Thanks for that link!
is there something that adds the Slic3r-PR fork info? I understand the 2 forks have diverged quite a bit
I did not even know there was a manual for Slic3r!
is there one for the Slic3r-PR fork? even a beta manual for the =PR fork would be a big help.
I would expect to find it at https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/releases and there should be a PE fork for the wiki as well as the manual
the Page here seems to not be up to date with all the features New User Guide https://www.prusaprinters.org/slic3r-prusa-edition-beginners-guide/#_ga=2.84344540.413454282.1543938474-314787885.1542203104
the ideal would be a copy of this manual site with each page showing what is not in the -PR fork (perhaps with the deprecated text shown with strike through and the -PR fork done in an appropriate :geek:
