Nozzle change issues

Hey All,

I have my Mk3s for about two years now, printing primarily Prusament PETG with no major issues.   I print small parts I designed for my business and and thought I would try using a 0.25mm nozzle to see if the resolution would be worth the added print time.   I followed the instructions on nozzle changes (slightly loosen the hot end at 280C, etc.) and it seemed fine initially.  I then started getting blobs originating from the top of the hot end (PETG oozing from where the heat sink screws in).  I never had this before.

I repeated the change procedure multiple times and would still see these blobs.  I double checked the tightness of the heat sink (and that piece that screws into the hot end and into the heat sink) as well as the nozzle (seeing the small gap once fully tightened) and same problem.  I am assuming at this point some material ended up being between the two parts inside the heating block causing an imperfect seal (coupled possibly with the higher pressure of pushing everything through a smaller nozzle).

So my question, for those of you who change nozzles often - is there a trick to make sure everything seats well?   I ordered a new assembled hot end (I had a blob that ended up the size of a golf ball taking a couple plastic parts and the hot end wiring with it).  I would like to change nozzles periodically but I don't want to go through this again.

Thanks!
