Hi, has any MMU2S user tried the new cut feature? Does it help to improve reliability and speed of printing?

I have only tested the cutting process via the menu. So far, this works perfectly. However, I must say that I have modified the MMU2 and installed a double blade.

The blades are more stably mounted, cutting left and right, and have been positioned closer to the filament hole to reduce the squeezing factor.

Thanks. What squeezing factor do you mean? Does your design increase reliability and print speed?

It has nothing to do with the printing speed. Only the cutting process is more reliable. With the Prusa design, it rather squeezed the filament and did not cut it cleanly. The blade was also broken out of its mounting in the process.

I have rebuilt the MMU2. The selector is part of the modified design and cannot be used on the original MMU2.

As I mentioned before - this selector does not fit on the original MMU2. I have reworked the complete MMU2 and made several changes.
