MK3S Upgrade Kit Unboxed
My MK3S Upgrade Kit arrived today and thought I'd post some pictures of the contents. I'm going to be printing the parts out with the included PETG later today or tomorrow and will do the upgrade after that is finished.

Will there be a step-by-step howto guide for tearing down the MK3 extruder and building up the MK3S or is it pretty self-explanatory?
I don't want to tear down my E-axis and then get stuck. I expect that it is straightforward enough to figure out but I'd rather crowdsource tips and tricks as found in all the helpful comments in the online assembly manuals.

Well, you answered the most important question for me. The upgrade kit doesn't include Haribos!

Mostly I'm curious to hear your feedback after it's back up and running about if you see an improvement in the print quality.

Is this an expectation then? Didn't realise this would be a thing.
Prusa claims "As a bonus, the nozzle and the extruder motor is much closer to the X axis, this means less resonance and better prints too." so I was curious how much better the prints look before I decide if it's worth the time, trouble, or money.

I looked over the installation instructions, it doesn't look like it's very time consuming so I guess they don't expect your blood sugar levels to drop much before you're done? 🙂

Does anyone know which firmware we need if we have upgraded to MK3S? Will we be using the latest version for the MK3 or consequently for the MK3S?

I purchased an MK3 October 2018 I believe. The MK3S upgrade kit is being shipped as we speak. I have the latest firmware for MK3 installed, but was wondering if I need an upgrade to the MK3S version once I have installed the MK3S kit.
Does this make sense?

Thank you. I ordered the upgrade kit on February 13th. It has yet to arrive though.

I "ordered" mine on 19/2 and it shipped on 21/2.

Mine shipped yesterday (21st) and I went for the version with Factory Printed Parts as I only have cheap PET and wanted to be sure the parts were right
If I had realised it came with a roll of filament I would have ordered the self print version.. I wonder if you still get the filament when ordering the Factory Parts version?
I was a little surprised to see the 'wrap' included.. I spoke to support and asked if I could add it to my order as I thought it was a good opportunity to upgrade from the spiral wrap. They charged me for it and never mentioned that it came with the kit...
Mine is due on the 26th so lets see.

I assume it only comes with "self-printed parts" as the factory printed versions shipped weight is only 0.450 kg (self printed version weights 0.9kg out of which ~300gr is the PETG)
