Mk3s mesh prints after service

Hello guys

i have an issue. Everytime after service (lubricant the printer, tight the screws and make first layer calibration and the other with the paper)….I have the same issue. the pla doesn’t stick in the bed and the filament stick in the nozzle. I also clean the bed with isopropyl alcohol. This issue after two days print goes better and better and after is perfect. Does anybody have an idea?! Bed levelling?! Does the alcohol make this and doesn’t let the pla stick in bed?!

thanx

Make thorough bed cleaning part of your service routine. Clean the sheet with dishwashing detergent (Dawn/Fairy) and plenty of HOT water, rinse well and dry with a fresh paper towel. Handle by the edges only.

Think about your cleaning materials - what might be contaminating your printer and what cleans that?

We are assuming the contaminents are human fingerprints, filament residue and PEI oxidants.

But if you are using aerosol lubricants, cloths that generate lint ... anything that creates dust, smoke, spray... You get the idea. The bed needs to be clean.

Cheerio,

If isn’t the way that I am cleaning the bed….what else matters?!

Adhesion problems are almost always one or both of:  Bed cleanliness and the first-layer Z calibration.

If you have problems after servicing something you are doing is temporarily compromising one of these.

Sometimes poor adhesion can cause unstuck filament to cover the nozzle in a way that looks, at first glance, to be a blockage - or it might be a genuine blockage but that's another problem which will be easier to address if the print is sticking to the bed.

Cheerio,
