MK3 KIt compkleted assembly. Started calibration then filament sensor errir wiring problem?
Just finished the assembly of the MK3. Completed chapter9.( Have not uploaded the new firmware or drivers yet). Followed the wizard then it got to filament sensor; filament sensor error wiring problem. I checked the wiring and connectors all ok. I have the connector plug-in on the board red to the right lower row / instructions OK; the connector for the filament sensor is white wire on top and red wire on the bottom? (No instruction for this)
Q: Do I upload the new firmware and drivers first? Then calibrate?
Q: Are the wire connectors correct? Also there is power going the everything else.
Q: Could it be a faulty Filament Sensor? ❓

Check the wiring from sensor to coming out of the extruder and into the spiral wrap, when assembling mine there were many steps where it would be very easy to pinch wires between the printed parts as you tighten it up. I actually pinched my 3 wire fan wires so bad i had to repair them during my assembly process.

Assuming you have triple checked that the wiring is in fact correct, you can try what I did that made it suddenly work. Unplug and replug the cable to the sensor *with the power on*. Maybe just a random coincidence but that is what got it working for me.
