I think your post is pre-mature.

You are likely going to get another printer, probably a new one if I had to guess. Or, you may get your damaged printer repaired at no charge and returned to you (another guess.)

To say you are out $1000 USD might be true once none of the above have proven to occur in a reasonable amount of time.

What is Prusa's return policy anyway? You might not be a scammer, but you must understand that plenty of people do damage their own printer and then claim it was shipping damage. Prusa must be careful in this regard I would think.

Would you share what was damaged? (just curious). Was box damaged, or just printer? If just printer, maybe their boxing needs some revision.

I am very unhappy. I am an intermediate user of 3d printers, a mechanical engineer and a university teacher. This is my 3rd printer, and I hoped it would be my best one yet. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I have asked for a refund repeatedly, but think I am out $ 1000 US. SAD.

Wow you are all that and still behave like this? Please be shame, maybe your students can teach you something more usefull than you can to them.
If a small equipment like a phone or other electronics can be DOA why big machines like 3D printers must be always trouble free? Things happen, and this is why warranty exists and prusa team will solve your problem after of course check the return thing, or you expect a refund even before they get the product back without any care?
Instead of waste your first post on the forum crying like a little boy without giving any relevant information, contact prusa support and ask how's it's your RMA going, they are fast.
About shipping time, you have agreed with that on the order time.

I'm sure every case may be different but a few posters received printers that were damaged in transit. Prusa cross shipped them a replacement printer as soon as the defective printer had a pickup scan.

Not sure why your case is different but if you speak to support like a civil human being they will do right by you.

My MK3 was delivered broken after a 6 week wait. I contacted Prusa customer service the day my printer was delivered broken. After having to call Prague on the phone, eventually they sent me a UPS return label, and I shipped it back the same day. It is now sitting in a warehouse in Prague waiting for someone at Prusa to get to it.

OP, your original post about receiving your new printer damaged, returning it and being aggravated about not hearing back from Prusa about a refund appears to have been edited into the trash can. In any case, I hope you have a printer you want now, or your refund. Please let us know if you received either.

I recently received a refund after changing y mind about an order from Prusa with no questions asked by them. They replied within a day to my request and the refund is on its way.

My 3rd assembled MK2S that I ordered was delivered with a few broken pieces... some components were secured properly and bounced around in shipping. I took pictures ASAP (not damage to the shipping box) and send them to Prusa.
- I was offered free parts to fix it along with a $100 credit or
- I could return the printer for them to fix/send me a new one. They would have t receive it before they would send out another (this is a typical policy for most companies).

I opted to return it . I was fortunate enough to also be able to request that the printer be changed to the MK3 and I would pay the difference.

PRUSA didn't screw me over, I wasn't out any money. If anything PRUSA was out money. They paid for the shipping to return the broken printer, they paid for shipping the new printer to me. I think I even got a second roll of filament.
