LCD Not Working and New Printer not Starting

Hello, I purchased a Mk3s+ kit for a relative to work on while he was recovering from a serious illness.  It turned out to be not such a good idea as he was not ready to concentrate on the kit.   The LCD did not light up when he turned the printer on.   When I looked at it, I discovered that  he wired the cables from the PSU to the Einsy Rambo board backwards.  Instead of starting at the left with the positive and negative cables from the PSU, he started from the right and reversed the negative and positive connections and put the cable from the heat bed at the far left instead of to the right.  Basically he wired it completely backwards as if he mistook left for right.  He is intelligent and I attribute his mistakes to his illness.  After correcting the wiring, I checked the two cables from the PSU with a voltmeter and they both show 24 Volts DC so I am hoping that the PSU is OK.    What do you think I should do to get  the printer working?  I am thinking that I need to purchase a new Einsy Rambo board.  Is there some other troubleshooting I should do?  Thank you,

Hi Bob, have you checked the three fuses on the einsy?

There is a small chance that they have protected the printer.

the screen,  the Pinda,  the Filament Sensor, and fans are all polarity sensitive, but they should have been protected by the 5 volt regulators on the Einsy,

the motors should be OK, hopefully protected by the stepper controllers on the Einsy,

the heatbed thermistor, and hot end thermistor, are not polarity conscious so they should be OK

the heat bed heater and extruder heater may have suffered it's worth checking their resistances.
the heat bed heater should have a resistance lower than, say, 6 ohms
the extruder resistance should be around 15 ohms

Hi Joan,  Thank you for your reply.  Yes, I should have mentioned that I checked the three fuses and they were all OK.   I'll check the other parts you mentioned that are polarity sensitive.

Sorry for not updating this sooner.  The circuit board was damaged and a new one fixed the problem.  I should add that there was an additional issue.  I discovered that the workshop was too cold and that caused problems.  There is evidently a minimum ambient temperature requirement or the machine will not run.   I warmed up the extruder with a hair dryer and it started right up.
