K value calibration in menu

The calibration within the menu are great, but would be cool to have a linear advance calibratin in there also.

How do you all calibrate the k value for each filament today?

I found this article helpful. You can easily modify that sample gcode to print an extended range. I've created copies edit for ranges appropriate for each filament type. Print it, observe and tweak your filament settings accordingly.

I just noticed the custom pattern generator here. It lets you fully customize settings for the generated gcode without having to manually edit.

No need to have it in the menu. Better to have it where it lives already in the filament custom G code tab.

I just bookmarked those links even though I don't understand (yet) a bit of it. 😕 😆

I got a perfect K value by printing a cube 400% and then drop top and bottom layer + infill and cut the height down to 8-10 layers.. Then I checked thickness of the wall and edges if they gut a bulb. Changed extrusion multiplier to the wall thickness was perfect and then adjusted K value to get the corner perfekt.

Was really an easy operation and my multiplier and K value are now set for my PETG 🙂
