It's been a good week

Hi,

I've had a good learning week and the quality of my prints and satisfaction has increased.

First, I replaced the brass nozzle on the extruder with a NozzleX .4 hardened steel one. Not that I needed to maybe, but the non-stick coating coupled with a silicon sock for increased temperature stability seems to be paying off. Even with easy to print PLA. And it should last nearly forever running PLA and PETG. Nor will I fear using a filled filament if I should ever need to. Disclaimer: I am not an employee or seller for E3D. Just happy with my choices.

Next I spent time learning and understanding about why I need to tune my Extrusion Multiplier. It was not off much, .02/.03mm at most, but it made a noticeable difference in my print quality. Even the stringing, while minor as it was, has gone down to maybe one tiny string with the spools I've tuned for so far.

And finally I got around to editing my G code intro to a custom file to work like I want it to. It's been annoying me since day one. But there were other more important things to wrestle with and learn first. And I had been just hand editing each program I sliced.

Now to print a bit more and figure out what the next thing I need to learn about is!
