Help with blob repair /remediation

I followed the advice here to get the bulk of the blob free and I was hoping I could ask here what I should do next (in the hopes that I avoid a mistake and make things worse). I obviously need to heat it back up and clear the excess filament, I am waiting for a small wire brush to arrive to finish that. But I am concerned about how the wires were pulled downward - is it obvious how I need to handle this?
I apologize if these are obvious to the more experienced among you, but I am only a month into my MK3S ownership and I can really use the help.
