Greetings Community
Hello everyone. I'm Jon and I've been printing for 2 years now, on an Aurora A3. It's adaquate but noisy and a pain to level.
I've just order a i3 Mk3, and am looking forward to printing boaty.
I friend of mine has a Ender 3 and he recently added stepper dampers which quietened his printer a hell of a lot. Is this a standard feature on the Mk3?
What is a stepped dampener?
Jon..
Re: Greetings Community
Hi Jon,
Welcome to the community!
There are no stepper dampers on the mk3.
Stepper dampers typically improve printers with older stepper motor designs.
the trinamic stepper controllers used on the mk3 don't benefit from the dampers

Re: Greetings Community
The mk 3 is pretty quiet so you really are not going to care either...
