Glass Printbed

Has anyone tried glass? I am testing different surfaces and wondered if anyone has done this?.

What size would you go with?

Re: Glass Printbed

I had glass on my old POS printer. I like the Prusa’s flexible steel sheet with PEI much better. When I first got the MK3 I hated the PEI, and “upgraded” to BuildTak’s steel sheet. This led to the long, slow realization that my calibration was at fault. So back to the original Prusa build plate, and have been loving it ever since. I still get terrified I’m going to rip it every time I realize I forgot the windex under my PETG, but so far it’s holding up really well. I don’t know what I’m going to do with the 4” roll of painter’s tape I bought for the M3D Pro, I may just have to paint something.

When someone asks you if you're a god, you say, "YES!"

Agreed. Someone asked me to test one.

I absolutely agree with the steel plates from Buildtac.
