Fixing an older MK3. Curious about age or revision?
The Y Motor mount was broken so I printed a new one but the old one says A9 instead of R1 or any of the later like the current R3 (or R4 on the MK3S+ file). So it had me curious about the age. I seem to remember something about the early shipments not having the intended steel sheet. This one is gold unlike the ones currently in the store.
RE: Fixing an older MK3. Curious about age or revision?
Factory printed parts have a different revision number system than self-printed. Self-printed parts are usually an "R" prefix number, while Prusa-printed parts can be an A, C, D, etc.... and the R series parts don't share the same iteration number, that is a C1 Prusa-printed extruder might be an R4 downloadable file.
It's sort of confusing if you're curious as to which one is what but mostly I just download the latest versions and don't worry about it.
Maybe there's a reference list somewhere?
