First layer problem

Hi

Really new at this but have printed off quite a few parts . I am trying to make a part in PETG which I thought would be quite easy but it seems to be fighting me. My print seemed to go fine then when it almost completed the last of first layer it did some nasty stuff.Picture might help. Can anyone tell me what the problem is.Everything was calibrated and printing great till this. Cleaned tip before starting it also. All help is appreciated.

RE: First layer problem

Your first layer is too close to the bed. This means that the extrusions push each other aside as they're laid down, creating ripples that accumulate and eventually catch on the nozzle.

Increase Z until the mountain-range shapes stop appearing in the first layer.

RE: First layer problem

Thank You. I eventually got it sorted. I don't have any trouble getting prints of PETG off textured plate and so I guess I lowered z too much to compensate some.Thanx for taking time to answer.
