Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Hello,
So If I'm upgrading my Firmware from 3.1 to 3.4.1 should I do a Full Factory Reset as well and go through the Calibration Flow?
It is not needed, but you can if you wish. You should do the first layer calibration again, as that may have changed quite a bit.
Thanks. I updated the firmware and did Z Axis and First Layer Calibration. All is good.
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Compared to firmware 3.31, I find this less responsive between the pressure of the knob and the "response" of the display.
The delay is really notable.
Is it my impression or have you noticed it too?
As always....sorry for my bad english 😉

I did notice selecting a file and it went printing the one below twice, So I think the knob is sensitive though the arrow isn't
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
I just installed this firmware, I think I had 3.1 before, I am not sure. When printer starts printing it just stops sometimes with message on display to unload the filament. I do that and load the filament and then printer continue to print. This happens randomly, once it happen even before first layer. This happens without color print setup. When I tried color print it was impossible to print because printer was stopping after a layer or two with message to unload the filament. Is there a fix for this?
Thank you!
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
With firmware 3.4.0 I was getting asked "The filament sensor response is poor, disable it?" by the firmware. If I left the sensor enabled it would often pause printing unnecessarily in the middle of a prints and force an filament unload/reload cycle. When I reloaded the filament it would ask again. I tried blowing off the sensor and it didn't make a difference.
With firmware 3.4.1 it has stopped asking that question as advertised, but it still keeps stopping prints unnecessarily.
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
I am having the same problem asking to unload the filament, I counted 11 times in 30 minutes, not much fun. I went back to 3.3.1 and it is doing the same thing. Now what not much fun
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
If you are having a problem with the printer telling you to unload the filament during printing all the time as you are printing , turn off the filament sensor, I did and the problem went away
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Is it me, but the pop-up windows which explain what each setting means, and tells you what the default setting is, in many cases the mentioned default settings are not the actual default settings ?

Because those are the default slic3r settings and not the default slic3r PE settings
Re: Firmware 3.4.1-FINAL for Original Prusa i3 MK3
OK - thanks for the explanation. I would expect that if Prusa change the default values, they also change the pop-up details though as well.

Agreed, and you would think there would be a PE specific manual.
