Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Hot diggity dog! Christmas is early this year, gents!
Looking forward to trying this out. Are we gonna get an update to Prusa Control, Prusda3D Slic3r etc, as well at some point?
(EDIT: oh, nevermind, I see a new version was just released yesterday! Woop!)
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
It is great to see the Linear Advance back in the game!
- extruder linearity correction
Thanks! We are eagerly waiting for some proper Extruder Linearity Correction instructions, because with all due respect, they are currently pretty useless:
- Print calibration object, use filament Prusa-PLA silver, or similar. (No link to the object)
- Find place with best surface on the calibration object calculate correction factor. (How to calculate the correction factor?)
- Adjust Settings/E-correct to calculated value. Which settings code is that?
Looking forward to the updates! 🙂

Hi Nullzero,
yes new drivers including printing profiles, Slic3r PE and other software were released yesterday, more here: https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/hardware-firmware-and-software-help-f64/drivers-2-1-5-with-slic3r-pe-1-39-2-t17762.html 😉

I already talked to devs, the files will be out soon, just some final polishing 😉
The firmware can be applied without using these features.

Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
I am trying to flash this new firmware to my Mk3, but it the firmware updater is showing an error.
Try killing all the unnecessary programs (antivirus especially) and retry the flashing procedure. Also, the HEX file absolutely must be on a local drive!
If that fails, then it must be your Arduino FLASH memory is worn out, so you should call Prusa support. The flash has a limited number of writing cycles, and in some cases (mainly with some low quality Arduino units) that number is really low. How old is your motherboard, and did you make many firmware updates?
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Do you know what is synchronized updating? I update 30 mins ago from your site where is still the old firmware 3,1,3. Now I have to do it again only because you do not update your site.
PS: I update it before XYZ calibration. That you improved in the new one. 😡

If you would have read the release announcement you would have seen the link to the Github site to download the latest firmware. It sometimes takes a couple days for them to update the official prusa3d.com firmware/drivers download page.
Don't blame them if you didn't take the time to read the full announcment.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
And my printer stopped working. I updated it In Pc it showed Update successful. Printer screen changed to loading screen (Original Prusa i3 Prusa Research text) and froze. It will not load.
Restart no change.

It is not about the post I went to website for the newest firmware get 3,1,3 but it is not the newest. And changing link on website does not take few days.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Did you download the version for MK3? I suspect you downloaded the MK2.5 version which will cause a hang.
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
Nice! I'm currently running 3.2.0 RC2 - when I upgrade, do I have to redo XYZ calibration or will the old values be saved? Should I do it anyways?

I just upgraded it from 3.2.0 RC2 to 3.2.0 and it didn't require performing XYZ calibration.

For those curious about linearity correction, 1.065 seems to be working nicely for several of us. Maybe that will hold you guys over until official calibration parts/instructions get posted. 😉

How do you apply that correction? Is it a custom gcode?

Good man! 😎
Re: Firmware 3.2.0 for Original Prusa i3 MK3
1.050 is what worked for me.

The "Extruder linearity correction calibration" wiki page now has better directions and gcode for a test tower.

Mine looked best at 1.1.
