I am also hitting this error/crash, frequently, only since the update to 3.8.1.

The power panic function didn't work properly in the previous beta release. This issue is now fixed. Also, during the debugging, the developers discovered a way to further optimize the code. This release corrects an issue with data being reset on “Fail stats > Last print” and also fixes a scenario in which the printer would fail to heat up the hotend during the recovery.

After installing this version it completely screwed up my filament profiles - so much so that nothing would appear no matter how many times you played aropund in the filter. The only fix was to completely destroy the entire profile folder.

The kicker that follows is of course that all the tweaks are lost - such is life. I do have one observation about the 'custom printer' wizard - extrrusion temperatures and bed temperatures are IRRELEVANT for the printer configuration and apply to filament types only.

Once you define a custom printer you cannot define custom filaments easily, all filaments re-appear if you select a Prusa machine - I have both a Prusa i3 Mk3S and a large core XY. This has rendered Prusa Slicer unuseable for my CoreXY - pretty dissapointing.

Not sure if this is the right place to suggest but I think it would be a neat addition to the "pause print" and "stop print"  menus to have a "sleep print" option or something similar, essentially the pause print menu but without the heated bed so everything is basically offline except for the lcd.

The danger there is that cooling of the bed is likely to result in the part popping loose, ruining any chance of a successful restart. While you might save a print with a power loss once in a while, I don't think it would be reliable enough to advertise as a "sleep" feature.
